Default 89 cbr vs 97 cbr

I am looking at either a 1989 CBR 600F for $1999. It has 29000 miles on it. Clean title. Or a 1997 CBR 600F3 with 31000 miles and is $2999 with Repsol plastics. I am wondering which would be a better deal?

I'd go with the F3, only because its much newer and many parts are easily found for it. they're both great bikes, and will go for 50K+ easily, if not way way more.

The 89 is overpriced, especially for this time of year. That price is something you would be paying for a bike about 4 or 5 years newer.

FWIW, I gave 37,000+ miles on my F2. I would go with the newer bike and not worry about the miles.
