Default 2006 honda cbr 600rr overheating??

I just purchased a 2006 honda cbr 600rr with 24,000 miles for $3400. It rides nice, but have noticed my engine temps are getting high. Especially when I am in traffic idling, i've gotten up to 230-247. Is this a minor fix or something big?
Thanks for the future replies.

Full of coolant?
Fan operating?
Thermostat functioning properly?

There is a crack in the reserve tank. Would that be a given that the coolant leaked out of the crack?
Fan does operate but temps continue to climb.

Anywhere coolant can possibly leak, should be replaced. With the crack, are you losing coolant? With a hot engine, are you feeling any pressure when trying to remove the cap from the reservoir tank?

There is a good-sized hole and thinking the coolant crept out of there. It's at the shop now, but was seeing if anyone else had issues with their 06 and could tell me what it was. Seem's to be a common issue on motorcycles.
