I bought a used 06 cbr 600rr. I noticed this days after. Here are a few symptoms, the bike sometimes jerks or lose throttle when I reach certain mph or rpm. Can't really narrow it down cause it happens at different times. Also sometimes when I'm on low gas, it sometimes won't let me pass certain speeds. Like once I had half a tank and I was on the fwy and it would not let pass 80mph and if I tried to give it more throttle I would lose speed. But the next day in the morning I was able to pass 80mph no problem with less than half a tank. I need help please. Any suggestions

 

Sounds like it has an intermittent misfire. It could have a coil throwing spark out a boot.

Or it could be something else....
What have you checked so far?

 

thanks for replying so quick. At them moment I haven't checked anything. Won't get a chance til thursday. I do plan on changing the spark plugs now that you mention it might be a coil problem. Just bought some. Don't know when the last owner changed them. Checked the oil and the coolant. Thats fine. But also going to flush the old coolant and put new one to be safe. Also heard that could cause misfires. I was also thinking of getting the fuel injectors clean. Wouldn't hurt to do them and have a record so i know i did them. Anything else you would recommend or suggest that can be an issue?
