Default 2000 F4 acting up

Hey guys, I have a 2000 F4 that is acting strange lately. It starts right up and runs great until it warms up. After it warms up it begins to misfire upon acceleration until it reaches about 5000 rpms then clears right up. But that is only intermittently, sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It almost feels like something electrical is cutting out. Also, this may or may not be related, but while riding at a steady speed the tach and speedo will suddenly jump up or the needle will vibrate in place erradically while the engine speed and road speed remain the same. This too is intermittent. I am just hoping that someone can point me in the right direction to hunt this problem down and fix it. Thanks for your help in advance.

first things first, you need to check your plugs and make sure they're clean and don't need replaced. check your wires next, make sure they're secure and not loose on the plugs. A motor needs fuel air and spark in order to run. from what you're saying it sounds like a wiring issue but i could be wrong. check all of those things and let me know what you find.

+1 on checking the plugs - Probably why the bike is sputtering until 5k. (I would also suggest running Seafoam to clean out the carb build-up).

Your tach issue is does sound like wiring. Check your battery connections to be sure they are tight and clean. If they are then check the battery itself.
