Hi all . Ive just bought a1998 cbr1000f and the petrol tank is rusted through. Ive seen a few tanks for sale on ebay but can anybody tell me if they made any design changes to the tanks. Basically what im asking is from what year onwards would fit my bike. Thanks in advance

 

For a direct fit you want to stay within the generation of your bike

 

Thanks for the reply and yes i suppose thats the real question . If mine is 1998 which i believe was the last year of production , then when was it started. Thanks again.

 

Correct 98 was the last year. 95 was the 1st year of production
