1993 900 fuelpump
Has anyone used a low psi fuel pump from an auto store such as O'Reillys instead of ordering the expensive OEM pump. I tried this but the problem I am having is that the in and outs are on opposite sides of the pump and i run out of room by the frame. Does anyone know the pressure of the pump anyway, or where to find a fuel pump cheap other than Ron Ayers.com?
No, you are wrong buddy. It is a 1993 CBR 900 RR and it has a fuel pump! What are you smoking? I may not be a master mechanic but i do know that! Go here - http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/200_03...30&parent=5320
I have used a low pressure high volume pump on my 93 900rr with no problems at all. I had to get creative with mounting, I ended up fabing a bracket using some aluminum I had laying around. I couldn't justify nearly $200 for a fuel pump. I have been running it now for about 2 months with no issues at all.
Yep, I've got CBR600 98 which has a fuel pump, they use em to overcome the petrol delivery problem within high rev range. My manuals got em listed from 91 on, not sure about prior to that.
Would it be cheaper to get a pump from a wreckers?
