Dose anyone know of any cheap alternatives to the 87 hurricane 600 ignition cdi? They are quite hard to find and are expensive so I was wondering if any other ignition cdi would be compatible with the bike.

 

Unfortunately it would appear that they were only used on the 87/88 models and one other the CBR500F 1987 (H) AUSTRIA

Was just searching on eBay for used harnesses but most of them are stripped of their CDI, I found one however that appears to have a aftermarket CDI installed, do you know what type of CDI is installed on this harness?

That’s harness for ‘89+ MN5 models. Ignitor for those later models has matching round connectors to plug into that harness.

The ‘87-88 box has regular flat blade connectors part# 30410-MN4-602. Post photos of connector you have on your bike.

There’s some on eBay now.
