Default 1000RR steering stabilizer on 600RR?

I've flipped through the how to forum, but didn't see my question addressed. I was looking into getting a steering stabilizer, because it's a general consensus that those are good to have. Scots dampers go for like $250, and others are pretty expensive too, but I see a lot of factory dampers from CBR1000RR's on ebay that go for around $20. is it possible, or even a good idea, to adapt the 1000RR stabilizer to my 600RR?

[X(] Get on 1000RR.net and search HESD. Then if you still think its worth it or can be done for cheaper(and just as safe) Then I say good luck. I looked into it and theres quite a bit of math to it, with a little electrical thrown into the mix.
