01 f4i won't start
alright guys so i finally put my bike away for winterization this past sunday. I put the bike up on stands and had completed the last matience needed before i were to put the bike cover on. I had it running for about 5 mins or close to ten and then i turned it off. I then ran to the gas station to get gas to top up the tank. I came back and topped up the tank and shortly after put in the fuel stabalizer. I then tried to start it but it wouldn;t start. The engine cranks over fine, but it seems like its not getting spark or fuel. I had it running just 10 mins before this so i am not sure what problem could have occured. Do u guys have any idea what it might be? i would like to be able to start it and run it so that the stabalizer can run through and also have peace in mind so i am not worrying all winter till spring hits. thanks!
Any help would be appreciated

Just to eliminate the obvious, and since I don't know your history are you sure it's in neutral and the kill switch is on run? Since you ran it for 5 minutes and considering it is an 01 it might be time to replace the battery.
Also where are you located that you have to store your bike so early. Here in ohio we have been known to have 60 degree days in December. I hope we have many.

just retrace your steps and act as if your undoing your winterization project also you said your bike is on stands right depending on your stands is there anyhow you might have unplugged maybe the ignition wires under the nose by accident?
very odd... gremlins all around us. Like 05Tribal said, I'd check the battery with a multi meter. Did you have any thing happen while you were putting it up on the stands? Like a hard jolt or near drop that may have tripped the tilt sensor?

Now that u mention the battery i practically killed the battery trying to start it, however i did charge it and tried it again but the bike was still doing the same thing.

THANKS FOR THE REPLIES SO FAR
I see the next suggestion coming in the form of "what about the kick stand safety". If the bike is truning over, it's not the safety switch.
Hell, I'm at a lost for suggestions. It sounds like you know what you're doing and already checked the simple things we are coming up with. Let us know if you get it.

hmm not the kill switch or it wouldnt even turn over, same for the kicstand safety switch when you had to start it did you have the charger on it at the time if so you might have blown the fuse to the fuel pump or the ignition circuit i would check all the fuses in the block.then i would take all the plugs out clean them off turn it over with no plugs in it just to get all the old fuel out then put them in and start it if that dont work ill have to get back to you.

I am gonna get working on it tommorrow so i will post once i have looked everything over. Hopefully i can fix it or atleast narrow it down to something. After that i can refer to the service manual and possibly get some information out of there. I will keep you guys updated and once again thanks for the help!
you know I actually had the same problem just the other week. The bike was running fine and then I parked it on the garage as I normally do and the next day I went out and it wouldn't start. The bike was turning over fine. I called Honda and the guy said to just replace the battery and see if that works. So I bought the battery (he also said I can return it if that doesn't work so I said "why not") and took it home and changed that sucker out and it did the trick. Mine is an '01 as well. Have you changed your battery at all since new? this was the first time I had to do it and it worked. Somtimes something really simple could be the problem. I say give it a shot and if that isn't it you can just go return it and get your money back. Its better than doing a whole bunch of random stuff to try to figure out the problem.
