Default 01 F4I won’t turn over. Course is in 2 days.

Hello, it seems I’m in a bit of a bad situation here. So I bought this Honda in MAY. I had an injury or two that prevented me from attending classes. During this time, it didn’t come into my mind to start it up every once in a while, or to add fuel preservatives to it. I’ve never let an engine sit for long periods of time, live and learn.
The battery clicked, I charged it, I think it’s good now.
I try to turn it over for a few seconds at a time and it just cranks now.
Should I siphon the gas out and put a little in to see if it fires? Could something be clogged or gunked up?

The fuel shouldn't be an issue after only 5 months, as long as it has some.

Let's start with the basics. Do you hear the fuel pump prime?

The next thing I would do is check for power to the fuel pump.

Default Update I found this

The line up top, connected on the other end to the line-in beneath it. It was torn. What is it? This is looking underneath the fuel tank

The small one is the breather for the fuel tank. It would be hooked to an evap cannister if you were in California, or to nothing if you are anywhere else. Usually there is a tube that vents it down by the rear tire with the big tube, which is the drain for the fuel cap area.

i wonder why the fuel cap drain tube was connected to the breather then? Would that have something to do with it not starting? I’ve sense removed the line as it was torn. It almost fired up on a push start after draining the fuel tank and putting fresh fuel in it.

Do I even need those two tubes on there? Dumb questions galore
