01 F4i Fixer-upper?

I'm thinking about buying a f4i fixer-upper, but before I do, was wondering if anyone has some advice for me.
Here's the story on the bike: 2001 CBR600 F4i with about 12k miles on it. Supposedly, it was all mechanically sound about a month ago when the owner stopped riding it. Since then it's been knocked over a few times while in a parking deck. He went to start it up a few days ago (with a new battery) and the engine would turn but wouldn't hold an idle unless the throttle was pulled open all the way. I've managed to get the price down to ~$1600, but haven't personally been out to look at the bike or hear it "run".
I'm thinking it sounds like either a spark plug problem, a fuel problem, or an idling problem. All of which seem to be pretty easy fixes.
Anyone got any other ideas on what else I might be in for if I purchase it?
Thanks!

Way too little info to give you an informed opinion. Until you actually look at it w/ someone that knows what to look for, you can't make a sound decision.
If its possible, get the bike to the Honda dealership & ask them to check it over. You'll pay for it of course. They will tell you what it needs or if there are any significant problems. If you're going to spend 1600, why not spend $85 for peace of mind.
If it checks out w/ just a minor problem, then you're good to go to make the deal. If not, you've saved yourself 1600.
Just my $.05. <---adjusted for inflation ;-) Good luck to you.
