Ok guys, I'm new to this forum but been reading for a while.Well anyways here's my problem, I bought a 01 cbr 929rr of my friend, it runs really good had a mechanic look at it and said its in great shape, big sigh of relief btw, I just have one problem, my cluster doesn't read anything back and the tach doesn't spin at all! It lights up tells me when I'm in neutral, my high beams are on, and when my turn signals are on, but i have no idea how fast im going! Any suggestions as to what it can be? and btw I've been looking for the part but brand new there about six or seven hundred and the used ones i found have about 40k miles and up. Thanks in advance for the help!

 

look for burn spots and bad wire connections. does it light up at all? check fuses... if you have access to another cluster, swap it out for a test.

 

it does light up like i said just the lcd doesnt read anything and the tach doesnt spin
