Default Thread width

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to make all the threads show up as the same width? Most threads I can read without having to pan across the screen but some appear to be much wider. I read pretty fast and I'm lazy, lol. Not a big deal, it would just be easier if I didn't have to pan and scroll. Thanks for any info.

usually happens when very large resolution pics get posted , few ways around it

are

increase your overall screen resolution

or

zoom out in whatever browser you are using

there's also the option to disable images entirely under UserCP > Edit Options > Thread Display Options.

many other forums use javascript to auto-resize embedded images to a maximum size (with a small banner area on top of the image to toggle resizing) to help control exactly these sorts of content stretching. i don't suppose i really have to ask what it would take to implement one of those around here?
