Default Sponsored posts?

Should "sponsored posts" be posing as fellow forum members?

"This new site, ExperienceMotivo.com, is offering up a free set of tires to almost anyone who signs up and is willing to write a few reviews on this new tire, the Motivo.* The Motivo is an all-season performance tire with long treadlife and reduced road noise backed by a 60,000 mile warranty.* I just signed up a few weeks ago and I’ve already received the set of tires and have really enjoyed them so far.* Check out the site to sign up and see what sizes are available."

I don't want to embarrass a site sponsor. But wouldn't they be better served by simply saying hey I'm a site sponsor! Than try to pretend they are another forum member with yet one more great opportunity?

You just have to deal with it, bandwidth, amongst other things in life isn't free.

I just wish it didnt advertise truck tires to me. I learned to ignore the very first topic, as should you.

Some of the advertising comes down the pipe from a level above my paygrade.
If it foots the bills for all the rest of what we do it's a small price to pay, don't you think ?

I think there are different levels of sponsorship.
Perhaps you should talk to the site Marketing guys............
