Default Local Forum Idea

I didn't notice it as a sub forum so I'll put it out there. Is there any move to start up local forums on this site? ie. New England Forum or even better, local forums by state? It'd be a great way to get group rides together and host meets. Just a thought and I apologize if this has already been discussed or if there already are local forums. If so, please direct me to them. Thanks!

what i could do, is make a regional section on here, and within that regional section would be grouped into various smaller sections?

If nothing else, till the regions grow, just divide it up by North, South, East, West, Central or something like that. As different areas grow then we can expand into Southeast, Northeast, ect.....

I think the best thing to do is still create more specific groups. I don't believe it'd be any tougher to create more detailed local forums because when you think about it, you're just creating a new forum, but the names are different and people just choose what region they want to go into (no need to link people to certain regions, just give everyone access to all regions). I'm not a website developer so maybe I'm totally off.

Thanks guys for looking into this though, it will definitely help people to get to know each other better. I can imagine it now...a huge New England meet with a line of bikes cruising down Rt. 128...

Couldn`t you just do 5 posts in general tech or something for the North, South, East, West, Central areas and then you can post away in there for meets and the like.

I'd love to have a place to see or setup a group ride aspecially around here in the northeast. A lot the kids around CT who ride are just immature all they like to do is wheelies and speed on bad roads. It be nice to hang with some cool people who don't let there egos rule there riding.
