Default image viewing help

alright, so a few people have been posting links like [IMG]local://upfiles/2436/2E77FA38ADFA4D4398119E80C2E42417.jpg[/IMG]

my question is, how do i get to viewing those files?

all the other posts ive read and viewed have links and thumbnails

You will have to be a bit more specific with links to the threads in question. I adjusted your profile so now you have "advanced" posting options. From there just click this icon -- -- and paste the URL and it will embed the picture in the thread. The thumbnails are generated when you add a picture to a thread as an attachment. Either way if it is a valid link you should be able to view it unless you are blocked ... which happens a lot to work computers.

how do i view an image like that if there is no hyperlink to go to?

Oh, I understand ... probably a typo or invalid link then. If it has IMG tags and is a valid pic then it should show up without you doing anything. Any 'http:' file that does not appear you can copy and paste it to your browser to see if it's a valid page. But if it starts with 'local' then it's prolly a fubar by the poster as local files generally are specific to the computer you are using.
