Did you charge battery for at least 24hrs before using?

New batteries don't come charged and needs to be charged.
With some batteries, you even have to pour acid into battery yourself.

Try running jumper cable directly from batt +pos terminal to starter's +pos terminal (make sure bike's in neutral 1st). Does starter spin?

We don't know if your battery is good/bad, if your wiring is good/bad, or if your solenoid is good/bad.

What's the voltage at the battery + terminal?

If you had the same problem with your friends' (good) battery, that implies the wiring between the battery and starter is the problem, but jumping directly from the battery to the starter, assuming you used a thick piece of wire, and still having the problem indicates your battery is the problem.

My guess is you use a thin piece of wire to try jumping the starter?

I took starter out again jumped it with battery charger it ran strong tried to roll the bike and pop the clutch to see if motor would crank but not enough *** or speed to get it to rotate only thing I can guess now is motor might be locked up I'm take the plugs out to release pressure on pistons to see if it might crank found harness had been cut and spliced in different locations might try getting a new harness and go from there thank you all for your help I'm old school all the older bikes are allt better looking than the new stuff plus it all ways nice to dust a new bike with a antique one if you know what I mean like they say my old school cost more than your new school lol

Ok found something strange when start stop switch is off and push start button lights dim but no click Al's found a 12 v wire that hot with the key on but it in the harnes that goes to the killswitch but the plug only has 4 input the wire is black with a brown strip on it I also removed starter again and jumped with battery charger has alot of torque still not sure why this bike won't crank I'm remove plugs tomorrow and try to put in gear and rotate back wheel to see if motor will move hope it's not locked up that the only other thing I can think of as to why motor won't crank

Appears motor's seized...

Take off stator cover and see if you can turn over engine with wrench...
