Default Yellow Pipe - Discoloration

Last month my bike was in the shop with a freak FI problem & acoording to the guys it was on the dyno & the pipe has been yellowish since then. I know it'll happen if you rev it up a lot while standing. Anyways I thought it'll fade away but it hasn't. What can I do to get rid of that color.

Thanks
Ashish H.

Is it a stock pipe or aftermarket? I know chrome will discolor with a lean mixture. My stock midpipe was turning yellow after about 1K miles. If its stainless you can take it to a polisher and they will buff it to look like chrome. Won't cost much and only take a few minutes.

You can try mothers chrome polish it will take some of it off, or take it to a polisher. After you get it cleaned up and before you start the bike up rub some wd40 on it.
