Yup this is EXACTLY how I left it, I just tucked it all away in the back. I don't know how it works either lol I was led to believe I was simply following your instructions hahaha. So either your instructions are really really good or my tail light = magic. Either way thanks for your help

wow. this is like the strangest thing that i've came across on this forum yet what i'm wondering about is how the turn signal wires can power the taillight and act as a brake light and ground at the same time.. hmmm.
i'm glad i could help tho.

make sure the wiring is correct. also, check the wires by the brake switches.

ok I know this is a old thread but I just got one of these lights and am having a weird issue. I didn't have a bulb socket on mine it was cut off by the previous owner so I had to cut the wires in the yellow socket and splice them to the harness. I put the black-green, red-green/yellow, yellow-black. and the tail light, brake light and licence plate light all work, but when I plug the blinker wires in the whole light is amber and if you turn on the blinkers they flash red. What could be wrong?

Blinkers are important. I suggest you do not ride without them. You need to do more research. I remember that I had an issue installing an integrated taillight on my f4i, but ended up doing it right. Look up the thread that I have posted in. I remember buying a part from Autozone that I have used in the installation.

It's up to you. I like to have my hands on my controls when I'm making a turn.
