Winterizing a bike for storage
I know its a far ways off, but I want to know the steps and things to do when storing a bike. This is my first year of storage so any help would be good. The storage location will be behind my truck in my cement floored garage.

Make sure your antifreeze is good. Run some fuel stabilizer in the tank, and run the bike so it gets through all the lines and injectors. Get front and rear stands so the tires are off the ground. If not, then make sure every couple weeks you roll it to a new spot so the tires dont get flat spots.
Plug the exhaust and intakes. You don't want to find out that serior squirrel decided tour bike was a good place to store nuts (it has happened). Place mouse traps all around it, then cover it. Mice/rats/squirrels like to chew wiring and make nests anywhere they can.
Me, I am lazy so I just ride all year.

I would like to ride it all year but there is a ton of snow around here in the winter. What types of stands are reccommended. I don't want to modify the bike to use the stands though.
Also, I shouldn't run the tank dry? Also the battery should I leav it in or is it preffered to take it out and store on a shelf?

Leave some gas in the tank. Helps keep the seal lubed and keeps the tank from rusting.
Get a battery tender. It dosent matter if you leave it in the bike or take it out as long as you run a tender on it. If you don't you will probably be replacing it soon.
Stands:
You need the "pad" type rear stand since the F4i dosent have spools. PitBull are the best, but Handy Industries or eBay specials will work. I have heard T-Rex are good and they are on eBay all the time. I have a generic rear that I got off of eBay from Flyncycle. Before this winter I am going to get a PitBull triple stand.
