I use the same one for the summer and winter. In the winter I just put the liner in it or just a few layers underneath. It's a mesh textile.

I've got the Tour Master Pivot as my winter jacket. Good price and very warm down to about mid 40's...i don't really ride if it get colder than that. (I know, i know...wuss.... ) I think it's one of the best jackets for the money, as well as well made and good looking.

Use to wear my cortech gx air w/ leather..But i have gone strickly leather now(joe rocket cbr leather jacket)..Not much difference until you get into the 90's(between the textile and leather)..And my leathers have worked great to wind chills of 20* so far..

Average good textile is beween 150~225(depending on its options)..For around 300 you can get a nice leather jacket.

I bought the new Alpinestars Jacket ( http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--622550.html ) and it stays REALLY warm (for as textile jacket)....a little too warm for me considering im not planning on riding to much this winter (I returned it)! So.....I was looking through my buddies closet (dont ask) and came across a brand new Moto GP jacket ( http://www.motoxoutlet.com/index.asp...mp;ProdID=1220 ) that didnt fit him and he couldnt return it for some reason so he kept it. The A-Star jacket is great and looks really sweet (only downside is that it has no vents so it keep ALL the heat in...baaaad for Northern VA humid days!!!) The Moto GP jacket is perfect for a summer day (air moves right thru it and with the wind liner in it, stays EXTRA WARM for those freezing cold winter ones!

All in all I got a $250 jacket for free!!!!

If I feel froggy, I wear my Vanson race suit with poly pro first layer and underarmour second. For a casual or longer ride in temps below 40 degrees, here is what I've used for the last 4 years. Good stuff!

Do yourself a favour and get a heated vest. $100 or less. Easy to install. I put it off for a year and then finally sucumbed on a recent road trip.

Well worth the money.

over here in southern california, it hardly gets below 40 degrees but i have a leather and a textile jacket (http://www.kneedraggers.com/details/...t--615220.html) and i feel that the textile jacket kicks *** during the cool nights (usually around 55-70 degrees). if it gets cold i just use the inner liner which is just made out of polyester, or windbreaker material and a layer underneath and i'm pretty warm. but i would probably suggest using a sweater underneath if you guys live out in colder climates.
