Default Windscreens

Just wondering what you guys thought of the double bubble windscreens over a straight factory replacement. I'm looking to get a dark smoked one but wasn't sure if there were any advantages with the double bubble.

i hear bad things about the double bubble.these guys tell me that at lower speeds before you tuck in, all the air is directed striaght to your face.
Just paint your current screen to the factory color or something.

opinions vary, seems you either love or hate it. depending on your height, and how you sit,
it can either put the airflow right in your face, or just over it.

like yesterday I noticed that it was going right over me as long as I was in a slightly crouched agressive stance. but if I poked my head
up I got alot of air. which was actually nice, it was hot out and the air filled my helmet and down my jacket. others dont like it becuase they are too tall and
the air is always deflected right at their faceshield causing alot of turbulance and noise.

the other thing to watch out for, is that the DB are notorius for melting gauges. it just so happens the curvature is just right to focus the sun on the plastic and melt your gauge. I always just throw my gloves up on the guages.

I got the DB and at reasonable speeds it doesn't do much, maybe moves the air up 3 inches.

I thought the air flow on my F4i was so much better than what it was on my 1000RR, I had nearly zero helmet buffeting on the F4i, or so I though.

I set out to get better air flow on the 1000RR and did quite a bit of research. I ended up getting a Zero Gravity Sport Touring windscreen for the 1000RR in Dark Smoke. Fit perfect and looks great. While I didn't notice right away the advantage I had created on the 1000RR, I soon figured it out when I rode my F4i again (I now noticed I had more helemt buffeting on the F4i than I did on the 1000RR). I now want one of those ZG ST screens for my F4i.

I'll add that it is not so much that the air is moved up, cause the air only moves up to the top of the new screen. Rather it is how it smooths the air, which the Sport Touring did nicely.
