will a stock f4i hang with a stock r6/600rr
I got an o5 f4i and i was just curious if it will hang with r6's and rr's. My cuz just got a new r6 and i'm sure he's gonna try to show me up but what i want to know is will i be able to hang with him without him blowing me away or may I even be able to show him up? my bike is bone stock and so is his so i was just curious of what to expect if him or someone else with a similar bike comes up and tries to see what my bike's got.

my buddy just got an R6 and its real quick, u gotta rem. their bikes have about 20 more horsepower than us. I do not have a hard time keeping up but if we both were to lay into the throttle you could def. see a difference in power, but for the most part you should be fine.

Stock against stock your F4i will not get spanked. If your riding abilities are equal then he'll have a slight advantage in power but a bigger advantage in the curves. Fatten him up a little to get the power/weight ratio in your favor. Your bike is a helluva lot more comfortable though -- fast lasts about 2 months, comfortable lasts a looooooooong time

for the guys who dropped the tooth in the front sprocket, did you buy the 520 conversion kit with the front sprocket -1 and the rear +2 or did you just drop the front? and what do you feel is the best combination the -1 +2, or just dropping one tooth in the front?

i just dropped one tooth up front and it made a world of difference. there is no need to go -1 front and +2 in rear unless you want to spend most of your time on the rear wheel. my buddy has a 954rr and he rode my bike and he said that my bike caught him off gaurd because is has so much torque. i don't know about anybody else, but to me, that says something. as for my sprockets, i have aftermarket renthal sprockets that are -1 front and stock rear, and for now, that is all i need. there is a 05 R6, 04 600rr, 05 F4i, 02 SV650, 03 Gixxer 6, and the 02 954rr in my riding group and the only one that i can't beat is the 954rr. hope this helps...
