Factory Pro Shift kits are the way to go. Though I dont have one installed on my f4i yet, I've heard nothing but good reviews about them. I am definitely getting one for myself. Just talked to Factory Pro rep and the kit with part number of SHFT-PRO-HON-21 will fit all CBR 600s. The good news is that if you look around, you can get the the kit for about $90. I've found one for $88 shipped. Comparing to other websites selling them for about $200, this is a steal. Once I get this in the mail, the DIY done by Jared (thirdgenlxi) will come very useful

I bought this kit last month as a x-mas present to myself. Unfortunately, its too cold to install it in the garage. Im looking forward to getting it installed when it warms up a bit. I got mine for about $160 since I know someone who works at a Honda dealer. Beats paying $190. I doubt the kits for $80-90 are worth the time and money to install

 

Those kits DONOT include the actual shift star which is where most the difference comes from. I have the $190 kit on mine and its well worth it... Get the full kit dont go cheap

and I was at work when i responded... so i mustve missed the last part saying it didnt include the star... my bad...

 

Both of the kits are done by Factory Pro. The only difference I see is the presence of the shifter star in the EVO kit. The regular Factory Pro kit contains only the gasket, detent arm, and the spring. That would explain the price.

 

+1 on the full kit being a great investment. I would recommend it to anyone.
