Default Who can help

I'm buyin my 04 f4i tomorrow, they guy still owes honda 4100 so they have the title, he doesn't want me to ride the bike home because if I crash the bike is not insured and its in his name. How can we switch the title over without actually having it?

Man, here is what I did,, The guy I got mine from did the same thing,, I made him write me a bill of sell and went to a Kinkos had copies made, noterized, done deal, he mailed methe title! However, what difference does it make if you pull out of hisdriveway with it, he has the money and its not like you wouldn't take it off the trailer right around the corner anyways,,,

fill out a release of liability form available @ your local dmv. and with a bill of sale and dmv form REG 343 (in ca not sure if # applies to other states) but it is the application for title or registration

edit* so i checked out the PA dmv site and forms for you. and all i have to say is its complicated as hell compared to cali. i cant seem to find the comparable(sp?) form. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/forms/reg/reg343.pdfthis is the CA form you would need maybe by looking @ it you can figure out which form you will need.

originally the guy didn't want me to ride the bike home, which is understandable because it was uninsured and honda held the title still. When I went to get it he wanted me to give him 5g's and then wait 2 weeks for him to call me when he got the title, well to make a long story short I told him how I felt about the situation him and his mother just for wasting my time. So I have 6g's in cash and need a bike, lookin for an RR.

I bought an 05 cbr 600 rr, my buddy bought it new and I know where its been and how its been treated. It only has 3700 miles and it already has the fender eliminator kit installed. I am very happy with the outcome of the whole ordeal. sorry to have to leave the forum soo soon but at least I bought a honda I'll be in the RR section, thanks for everything
