So where does everyone get their oil?

* Online

or

* Local Store (Dealership)

I'm looking for Some "AMSOIL - Synthetic Motorcycle Oil - 10W-40"

What's the average cost for a quart. I've seen around $11

I get mine at Wal-Mart, Mobil 1 is usually cheaper there than anywhere else I can find it.

So you use Mobile 1 Fully Synthetic oil made for cars?

That's what I use on my Bimmer except It's 5W-30.

I've heard that using car oil is not good on the clutch since there's moly in it.

I only ride a few months of out the year and it's mainly just weekend riding so cost won't be that much of a concern. I'm thinking about jsut ordering it online.

Advance Auto parts has Mobil 1 Racing 4T Fully Synthetic oil for about 9 bucks per quart . Or try another Auto parts store just don`t always expect them to be on the same shelf as the regular Motor Oil so ask for it or have them order some .

The dealership should sell Pro-Honda HP4 for $8 a quart or so...

Just make sure it doesn't have Molybdenum, as it can adversely effect your clutch operation over time.

Honda Pro Oil 10w-40 without Moly. 8 bucks a quart, K & N oil filter 14 bucks. Using car oil isn't good for a bike, you have too much invested in your bike to ruin it with crappy oil.

+1 on K&N, only because it has a bolt on it that you can socket wrench out if it gets stuck. Comes in handy!
