i have a 2006 cbr 600 f in the Uk. Now i assume its a f4i in the states or am i wrong?
Also i have been quoted by ohlins uk £487.00 to fit upgraded springs and a piston kit to the front forks. i have to remove the forks and send them of to them.
i really wanted a cartidge so adjustment could be done at the top off the fork.
am i doing the right thing here or are there better options?

oh and i want to get 2 way Penske rear shock?

Can you be more clear about what exactly you are wanting done to your forks?

FWIW, fork work isn't cheap - especially w/ quality components. Yes, its easier to remove your own forks & send 'em in for work.

 

I wanted to upgrade the suspension and then hit the track for some adrenalin rushes.
I thought a stock fork rebuild by ohlins and a Penske rear shock was the way forward.
I tryed looking for a used shock for my bike but no luck.
Maybe a different model would fit?
I know a used shock wouldn't have been made for me and my bike.

 

Upgrading your front forks with ohlins springs and valves is the perfect first step. It will respond exellently and allow you full adjustment just like the stock forks do. Penske and ohlins among others have rear shocks and you can always send the stock rear shock to also be re-valved.

 

i didn't think the rear shock could be rebuilt, but apparently it can. valve and spring, nice to know since rear shocks cost no less than $1,000.
if i were you i would rebuild the front forks yourself and send the rear shock off, it will likely save you alot of money.
if it looks easy enough maybe you could do the rear shock but with the cartridge and everything it seems like it would be a pain.

i would highly recommend re-valveing considering putting bigger springs in is affecting it alot, i redid my front forks and i have to have my rebound maxed out with no compression.
