I second the idea of spending $1000 or so on what you want for your bike and save the rest for a rainy day (we all have them!). Or, if you've ever wanted another bike this would be the time to do it. But i wouldn't suggest spending all of it on an older bike...you'll never get any of it back out of it ever again.

Since you have a job, you're eligible to contribute to a Roth IRA. Say you keep $1100 to play with, and put $2500 in. It will grow tax-free, and won't be taxed when you take it out at retirement. If it goes up 8%/year on average, $2500when you're 20 will be $80,000, tax-free, when you're 65.
