Where can you find one?

Just do a search for "radial master cylinder". Brembo, Magura, Nissin and Galfer are good brands. I found a used 954RR master on the forum and it fits perfect! There is one on eBay right now for $85 shipped and it comes with the lines and calipers (maybe even the pads?).

After a few searches, I have come up with different products and am now confused.

Is is part of the caliper for the front brakes?

Or is it the lever/reservior/clip-on mount?

The master is the perch that the lever is on. It is what controls the brake pads. With a radial master the brake action is directed in a more linear fashion giving you a better feel for how much pressure you are applying. It also gives you better feedback for doing stoppies and emergency braking.

You will have to find a resevoir and bracket. You don't need the calipers but you could sell them and get a bit of your money back. Either way it is a good price.

Do they specifically make one for the f4i? Or is it just a fitment from another bike?

If so, what other options are there for working cylinders?

It is a universal part. You do not need one specific to the F4i. Any radial master which is from a bike with 7/8" clip-ons will work.

I hope you mean DOT 5 or DOT 4 brake fluid!

You will also need Permatex Hi-Temp Caliper Grease for the pistons and Permatex Anti-Sieze Compound for all the bolts and such. Work the pistons in and out til they move easily.

You will also need a way to bleed the air out of the lines. I use a piece of fish tank air hose which you can get in mostly any stores pet dept. Use a clean empty bottle, put one end of the hose over the bleeder and one end to the bottom of the bottle. Pump the brake 5 times then hold pressure on it. Slowly loosen the bleeder til the fluid starts to barely come out. Tighten the bleeder back down before you reach the end of the brake pedal/lever's travel. Repeat, repeat, repeat....
