most importantly it comes down to this... if you have the extra few bucks then investing them in more expensive sliders isnt a bad idea if you dont have the money cheaper sliders will do a good job too... but all said and done dont go with no cuts and ANY SLIDER (except no cuts) IS BETTER THAN NO SLIDER.....

 

what about the ones on ebay for like 5$ that go on the back fairing bolt?

 

i guess if you have a really really really low budges lol.... they are better than nothing but in a crash they will prolly rip out since normally sliders come with longer bolts to help it not rip out in a fall

The black ones are delrin (the posts and stem goes into the frame, the "pucks" attach and are removable/replaceable). So far, only had to replace one that was ground down (mainly rash on the fairing, broke a mounting point, bent the Woodcraft rearset peg. All in all, not too bad. Simple low-side slide at about 80).

You can get aluminum ones in colors, I've only seen them once, and they looked pretty soft (like they would slide better, but I'd stick with the black ones). The shortness is supposed to be just "perfect" and stick out just the correct amount. I know that on the 600RR, people were hitting the longer sliders on the candy stripes on some corners, catching and crashing.

 

those arent worth the $$ or time. Seriously all it takes to break one of those off is bumping it with your boot mounting or dismounting your bike.

The T-Rex's are derlin and that exactly what you want sliders to be made of. Anything else is bling n will cause more harm than good!

Avoid putting anything with a spike on your you bike too, use a lil common sense to figure that one out

 

Vortex here.. IMO I wouldn't use a one piece slider.

 

most good ones are 2pc base/puck. 1pc sliders prolly work as good, but you would have to replace the while set instead of just the puck.

But I have heard about some 1pc sliders breaking off tho.

 

Exactly.. I have heard the same, thats why I just steer clear away from them. Id hate to have to drill that bolt out that snapped off in my motor.

 

in times like these screw drillin out the bolt just do a motor swap
