Default What to do?

I own a '02 F4i with about 15,000 miles. I just had the valves adj. Im debating on upgrading to a 1000RR but first I was wonddering if it would be smart to keep the bike with that mileage and just get a power commander. I believe all the bike really needs is sprocket and chain and a new CCT. My worry is something is gonna go with the the bike, its the stupid rattling from the bars just annoys me and im afraid of putting the money into it and it turns out to be something else. I was just hoping for some opinions. Thanks

Dont worry about the miles. Thirdgen has over 110k miles on his.

What do you mean rattling from the bars?
Are you talking about the cct rattling? If so, that is a pretty easy repair.

The choice to step up to a 1krr is a choice that you ultimately need to make. The F4i is an awesome bike, but the 1krr is a premo peice of machinery!

Moneywise, keep your bike. It is cheaper to keep/fix it than sell it and buy a 1000 and insurance and depreciation and.....

But the real question is do you really want and can afford the 1000?

I think its the CCT, it has to be i dunno what else would be causing it. If i had a friend thatknewwhat to look for as in problemsand could look at it and say its running great, i would definitley keep it, but all my friends are harley guys. I just wanna be a bit faster causealtho there are only 2 guys with sport bikes in my crew, these 2 bikes area Busa and a honda RC51. Anyways i found a CCT for like 60 bucks on cbrzone.com all i have to do is find a chain and sprokets. I hope thats all i need.

It most likely is the CCTL. Get some more sport bike guys in your crew lol.

CCT Swap

Hope that helps you out, if you're interested in trying to replace it.
