Default What is this?

I just started to install my scorpion high mount and I saw this weird thing on the mid pipe. Does anyone know what it is? Did I get the wrong mid pipe?Name: IMG_0706.jpg

I dont know but that is some kind of horrible. Looks like something off a old 70's bike. Make it go away.

It's a heel guard. So the rubber on your shoe/boot doesnt melt if it comes into contact with the pipe. I have one on my micron high mount, but its a solid piece rather than a cut-out
