as far as the bananna seat version? that was the F4 came out in 99

"hell the new gsxr's come with stearing dampers from the factory". They only come with steering dampers because the stock bike needs to have them. That is to compensate for a lack of engineering on Suzuki's part.

 

it has nothing to do with engineering AT ALL
the new Honda 600RR and the 1000RR both come with steering dampers, its a safety and marketing feature for the manuf's
