Default Watch for gravel!

I got in the habit of not watching from driving the same roads all the time, wasn't paying as much attention as I should. And broke my clavicle today! And ALWAYS WEAR YOUR HELMET! Say what you will, people who don't wear helmets, but my head slammed the ground first and then a 500lb motorcycle hit me seconds later- You wouldn't live through that without a helmet; no way, no how. You can see the red paint on the visor where the bike kissed my face... after that it then swung around and broke my collar bone. Doctor said if I hadn't have been wearing my Bilt suit then the impact would have broken my hip and elbow too, garaunteed. Wear All your gear All the time; If you don't then it could change your life forever, or you could lose it.

Wow man glad you made it out alive. Luckily that's all that happened to you. Hope you heal up quickly. How bad is the bike torn up??

I think it's all cosmetic. Frame slider took a lot of impact. Front and rear fairings cracked, and the gauge cluster somehow ripped out. But it still runs. Could have been 10x worse. This was only at 35 mph too. I wrecked last year going the same spe, ed and there was no damage to me or the bike, **** happens though, you never can tell what will happen. Id probably be fine if the bike didn't hit me

Glad to hear you made it out with minor injuries! Speedy recovery to ya.

It's been unusually hot around here lately. I was out riding the other day and my neighbor made a comment about how I was wearing a helmet in this heat. I told her I actually enjoy living and wouldn't want to ride without one. She goes not me I'd rather not ride than wear a helmet in this heat.
Some people are just too dumb.

Glad to hear that you are not worse for wear. Gear dif serves it purpose.

Also good to hear that the bike isn't too bad.

That sucks, heal quick. I always panic when I see some rocks on the road and try to avoid them.

Glad to hear your ok, I've been on the look out for gravel just to be safe. I wear full gear in this heat and I come back soaked but feel 100% safe!

Default I agree

Put my bike down at 50+ mph 1 month ago. Helmet probably saved my life. Was also wearing armored jacket and gloves. Still broke my hand in 2 places and dislocated 2 teeth. (With a full face on!!) I would have been screwed without my helmet!
