just bought an 01 f4i andim trying to figure out which undertail kit to buy. i want to keep the stock taillight and either get an integrated taillight kit or just throw flush mounts on. basically my question is if anyone knows of a kit that uses the stock taillight.

I think hotbodies has one that reuses it. One good thing about reusing the stocker is you don't have to deal with the cheapo LED's that come with a lot of the other aftermarket undertails. Surprised I can't remember more of the brand names of other kits right now

 

pimpbikes make one too I believe

 

Buy a pimpbikes untertail and buy a wiring harness to intergrate your stock taillight. $130 max

 

i don't think hotbodies makes it anymore.. go with the pimpbikes, its $100 but you have to paint it.

 

I just used a can of gloss black spray paint.

does the pimpbike kit come with a license plate light and bracket? im sure i can rig something up if not but it would make life easier if its included

 

No it does not. I just got 2 small L shaped brackets from a local hardware store and bolted it on. I'll take some pics of my bike tomorrow and post it up.

 

you might want to ask them.. i noticed that in the directions they sent me it mentioned something about a license plate bracket for an additional cost. I'm not sure though. send them an email or call up to find out. They're really nice folks.
