I'd be cautious with a sawzall, they tend to be wild and inaccurate. I used a regular handheld hacksaw and it worked perfectly and didn't leave sharp edges. Make sure you use a blade with fine teeth to reduce shredding the carbonfiber and as stated before use some painters tape or masking tape as a line guide.

I would probably use a dremel with a cutoff wheel to cut it because a sawsall blade is not supported at one end and leads to inaccurate cuts....but if i were going to use a sawsall, i would use a metal cutting blade, it has finer teeth and probably wont shread the edge quite as bad as a wood one would

Awesome, I will pickup a new hand hacksaw with a good metal cutting blade. I am hoping to do it this weekend. I will get painters tape and saw on the way home today. Anyone know if I have a slipon if I were to take the rear sets off if there might be enough support especially after shortening the pipe...I never ride with anyone so it will look even nicer without those rear sets on. Thanks!

Shears or heavy duty scissors are also needed to snip through the wire mesh and fiberglass packing too. not to sound repetitive but don't forget the rivet gun lol

I sent you a pm for your email. I'll send over pics of my pipe if you didn't already cut yours.

I have a question, I was going to possibly trade my pipe out but someone realized what a nice pipe they already have haha.

I want to sell my Yoshi CF RS3 pipe or trade up for a shorty pipe for the F4i...does anyone have any suggestions for shorty pipes that sound and work well with the F4i?

My pipe is pictured here.....any suggestions would be great, I dont even know where to find a good deal on pipes esp shorty ones and know what will work well with our F4i.

I do not want to cut the CF pipe because I have heard about the residue and all from the CF that cannot be good.

I used a hack saw on mine. It shouldnt be very hard to cut through the carbon fiber. You can buy a decent one with a new blade for $15. Just use the tape to mark your line and use your knee and hand to hold the muffler steady.Piece-o-

Well, I guess the cheapest way is to just cut her down...anyone know if we can change the tip of these to something similar to the newer models like the two bros and all? Just curious.
