Default vortex rear sets

Click HERE to view the vortex rear sets.

I just want to get rid of the standard stock peg. Vortex states that MOST parts can be used with the stock. Does anyone have any experence with these?

WHY in the hell are these things sooo much money. 319.00 for the entire package!!!

Anyone have any suggestions on an easy cheap upgrade for the rear sets?

either rearset adaptor plates for less than 100 or do the mod by jjtbao in the DIY section...but i would use that one with caution...if the bolts aren't tight, the rearset may come down...so make sure you don't weigh the inner peg in a lean.

Unless the bolts fall out completely, the rearset won't drop... and last I checked, if you've got bolts coming loose, you're gonna have problems, regardless of what rearsets you're using.

Seriously, with the mod I did, there's no greater chance of anything dropping. If you look at how it's put together, the only way it will move is if the bolts come off completely. If this happens on your stock rearsets you're screwed just the same.

Weigh the inner peg, mang...is good.

I have them and love them. Very comfortable, and the 1" up and 1" back position is nice. Easy install too.

IMHO go with Woodcrafts if you need the gear and don't care about the bling. They can use the stock pedals and save some cash.

If you want the bling, then go ALL bling: Arata, Gilles, Moriwaki, etc.

i know the vortex rear sets for the f4i are non-adjustable. I was wonder if woodcraft or another company actually made a set that was adjustable.

the point of what? doing the mod or weighing inside peg? doing the mod still lets you sit more aggressively and keeps the pegs up away from being grinded all up....

you should be puttingn so much weight on the inside peg anyway...you should be using the opposite leg to hang off of, like a monkey does from a tree.

woodcrafts aren't adjustable...i gots them...used...all beat to hell, but they were 'cheaper' than new.
