I've taken the internal weights out from inside the clip-ons. They are pretty heavy. I suppose you could replace with fishing (lead) weights, but I doubt you would get too much weight gain.
Something else that might help: I put the knobby pads on the side of my tank. I can grip the tank with my legs and lighten the load on my hands, which reduces the vibration felt.

well it's not the weight gain your looking for. have you seen any of those new dead blow hammers you can buy? they have lead shot inside. what this does when you strick an object the hammer wants to bounce back but the lead shot is delayed a bit so as the hammer tries to rebound the lead shot comes down and counteracts the rebound. it works the same in the handelbars, so you end up with less vibration.

One of these days when I get some vacation time I am going to do a Iron Butt. I may have to put some Helibars on for that, but we shall see. DB windscreen is next on the list. This is the only reason I don't have rearsets yet.
