sounds like i could use a Valve Adjustment, because the bike is very radily sounding when reved at about 4-5 grand. I was planning on taking it apart and doing it myself, but wanted to wait till winter you think the bike will be fine or should i just take the time and do it now? Any advice for when i do change them out?

 

how many miles do you have? chances are youre mistaken it with the CCT-L...

 

+1 on CCT Would almost bet money on it. Do a search and see if disciptions match your symptoms.

 

i have almost 30,000 on the bike im sure its not the CCT-L the actual engine is knocking sounds like a bolt is loose in the engine no back fire or metal chips fireing out the exhaust yet...

 

it's the cct sound, believe me, does the sound disappear about 6k rpm?

 

If it's knocking that bad Wouldn't you here it through all range of RPM's. Does it sound like it's coming from right under the gas tank, on both sides?

 

yeah it does. I thought the CCT sounded like a constant wrenching noise when the bike is coasting. Why would the CCT make such a rough noise? Is it really that big of a part maybe someone could elaborate for me? I was for sure the engine was knocking. Oh well thanks i guess...
