Default Used F4i Prices, help me out

I have been casually looking (not really planning on buying until Aug-Oct) and the prices mostly seem high!! Is it just the fact that we are at the beginning of the season and a couple months from now prices will be down? Here is what I see on nada.com for values. Do they seem about right?

'01: ~3800
'02: ~4050
'03: ~4500
'04: ~4900
'05: ~5900 (big jump from 04-05)
'06: ~6400

Of course some have pipes and such on them but with my car experience in the past, usually people don't want to pay much if anything more for mods. Anyways do those numbers seem good? I am more the type that isn't looking for the best deal ever, but do not want to get screwed over either.

Thanks,
Scott

Also I went ahead after I posted this and checked kbb. Here is whatI got for "retail" prices.

'01 - 3815 nada - 4500 kbb
'02 - 4060 nada - 4750 kbb
'03 - 4515 nada - 5050 kbb
'04 - 4940 nada - 5345 kbb
'05 - 5910 nada - 5740 kbb
'06 - 6410 nada - 6105 kbb

I wasn't clicking on fairings or anything with nada kind of assuming since they all have them that's not an "option". Which one would you say is a more believable value to shoot for?

Thanks,
Scott

I agree that those numbers do seem a bit high - but again it depends on location and condition of the bike. Do some searching around this forum, many of us say what we spent on our bikes (mine was new so I can't really help too much) but the info is here, just poke around using the "search" feature.

Here in the midwest I believe that kbb is closer to the actual amount of a clean f4i...Nada seems more wholesale than retail like at a strealership...
-Plus like newguy said, it's condition, color, all that stuff..

Heres a link to a local bigtime midwest dealer selling f4i's

I would say those are correct prices.....EVERYONE uses those as a base figure to start from....depending on how bad they want to sell it and a factor of several other conditions will determine end value.

I just traded in my '05 with about 3800 miles on it. I got $5K, and when you consider the tax benefit, that's really like $5400. Considering that you get screwed anytime you deal with a dealership, high $5Ks isn't hard to believe.

However, I did try to sell via this site and Craigslist for ~$5500, and didn't get even a single bite.

I was just there about a week and a half ago. they only had i think 3 F4i's there....he said there's a huge amount of Hondas that come and go through there. He said F4i's get sucked up pretty quick. However, they DID still have the black/yellow one with the gold windscreen. gorgeous in person...only 2 tiny little scratches...and not even on the bodywork! would be perfect for me if i could afford it.

These bikes hold their value, so KBB is pretty accurate, atleast around my area - Maryland.
