Upper turn signals?

PhillyF4i: Let me define my opinion of "fits fine" then. If you take a look at the base of a turn signal on the F4i, pictured below, you'll notice that it has a rather distinct oval-ish shape that sticks out from the fairing near the front end of the bike.

When you mount the turn signal in question to the fairing, there's no way it will sit flush on that surface, no matter where you put it. Edges will hang over. It simply looks out of place.
I should also mention the way that signal is installed: the base is attached to the fairing via two screws, neither of which are anywhere near the original signal mounting location. So you have to drill two extra holes in your fairing to install them. In my opinion, where turn signals are concerned, you should have to do no other modification to your fairing to install them.
