can anyone show me or tell me what and where eactly the upper stay "u" looking bracket goes and what it does? im in the process of repairing my first bike ever and i just got the nose fairing and headlight in. I've been doign some research and i keep coming up wiht this upper stay bracket (\____/) thats how it looks. i keep seeing things online that say i need this but i didnt see it on the bike or in the bucket of stuff that came with the bike. what is this part and where does it go and what does it do? i have the other stay bracket that i beleve my headligth and speedo attatch to is still on the bike. anyone help me?

 

Its what the gauges, mirrors, and front fairing bolt to.

 

The upper fairing stay connects to the lower fairing stay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_1093wt_939

which connects to the frame of the bike. These are basically the first 2 pieces you will need to put on when installing the front end.

 

thanks guys looks like i'll be having to purchase one then. I didnt comin in my box of trashed parts. I appreciate your help! i got my new nose fairing and headlight in just the other day! just waiting on the speedo then i can at least put most of it together and see how she looks halfway done. Ill post some pics later today! jsut got home from driving in this crazyice storm indiana is getting. cant wait to start working on my machine
