Undertail & wheel
At a forum the subject about the undertail -
https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...on-how-109928/ I now make undertail too, but together with a box for the accumulator, and I had questions. On original for a wheel - cut, but at you it isn't present. On yours - the back wheel clings for undertail? There are problems? Thanks. |
I join a question.
To me too I want to make to myself such. |
Gentlemen, so the wheel will be caught for this undertal or not?

Ser Jon,
Not sure exactly what you're asking? Can you be more specific? |

The person made undertail:
Attachment 35602 Here the reference to this subject - https://cbrforum.com/forum/f4i-main-...on-how-109928/ In its undertail there is no deepening over back a wheel. In an original back wing deepening for a wheel is. As, such uglebleniye over a wheel is in undertail other producers. For example as here: http://inlinethumb25.webshots.com/37...600x600Q85.jpg When driving, the back of a motorcycle falls under weight of the pilot and because of roughnesses on the road. Whether the back wheel will cling for its such undertail without deepening as in an original back wing??? I ask to excuse me for bad English - I from Russia. |
No worries, just trying to understand what you're asking.
The relief/detent for the tire really isn't an issue. The tire should never touch the undertail whatsoever. |
Without the bike sitting on the ground supporting its own weight the rear shock only has 4.7" of travel, as it sits I'd guess it only has about 4" of travel so you'll be fine.

I have a homemade undertail similar to the red one shown above. There is no indent or "deepening" and I have not had a single issue with the rear tire hitting the undertail. I'm 6 foot 1 about 205 lbs or about 2 meters 93 kilos to give you an idea.

And you changed the rear suspension setup that would make it harder?
The tail of the bike was the original or the RR? |
