Default Undertail Install

Hey everyone!
Just got my Undertail in last night, ordered a "2001-2003 CBR F4i LED Undertail/ Rated #2 by XDC" I have an 01 F4i White/Red.

http://www.xdcycle.com/store/catalog...DC-p-1164.html

Im going to start installing it today after work...any tips? or Hints?
The undertail didnt come with instructions, called the company, and emailed them but no reply yet. Anyone have this Undertail that know the wiring colors???

Approx. how long does it take to install?

Thanks!

Ill post pics up as i go!

Its not a bad install at all. I will check my wiring and get back to you on that. Just measure twice when your cutting your battery tray. I would say if you take your time and do it right maybe 1 and a half to 2 hours.

Thats the same one I got. I also have an 01 red/white. It took me about an hour to install. The licence plate bracket they put on there is up under the battery box, which looks sweet, but I got a ticket for putting it there. Also, the LEDs for the tail light are bright.. but the difference between the running lights and brake light brightness was hardly noticeable. So I added an additional light bar for running lights, and just use the undertails two lights for brake lights.
congrats on the purchase, it makes the bike look much nicer.

Thanks guys, i started it..hard part is just about done..everythings trimmed away, the wholes in the undertail and the holes for the tail end dont quite line up perfectly, so im working on those... and i am getting ready to start the wiring adventure..lol wish me luck..
Its been about an hour and a half right now..being extra careful!!!
How do you keep the round pointed end of your undertails to stay flush, and not much up leaving a gap between the tail and the undertail????

thanks for the info! ill post pics soon!~

The Best way i could find to get rid of that gap was to put a piece of Foam in the back and it pushes it down... i took some foam and shaped it to fit the back tail end and shoved it in there..it kept it pretty flush, a lot less of a gap!
