Default ugly front fender

The f4i front fender is ugly and fat looking. See exhibit 1.

I feel that it would look better if I cut it to look similar to the fender on my friends gsxr

Now, I'm sure this will weaken the fender. To the point of failure? Who knows?

Are there any aftermarket alternatives to this fat fender issue?

Those are a couple HUGE pictures!

I would be interested in maybe trimming mine down a little too...eventually.

to the point of failure? hows it gonna fail? Cut it into whatever shape you want itll be fine. It could definately use some trimming up front and on the sides there for a more aggressive look. Grab some tape and try out different lines till you get it how you want it then dremel away.

I was thinking it could fail because there will be plenty of air resistance affecting it and I'm not trying to have my fender flex and crack. I could at least play with some lines...but I feel that if I trim too much I'll be removing needed reinforcement and screw myself...

My front fender is cracked 75% of the way from one side to the other near the tip and its survived multible 150mph runs down tracks and about 20,000 street miles so far, you'll be fine. No idea what your getting at with the pics though as they're WAY TOO BIG to see on a computer screen. I can see a section at a time and that doesn't help.
