Between 4.5 and 5K you say? Hmm, to me it sounds good everywhere, it makes me grin every time I wind it up.
I have a regular pipe, I think its part # 005-040406. It's not a shorty. I didn't know they made a shorty. When I was in their HQ today I thumbed through their 2008 catalog, I only saw a VALE regular and a VALE high mount system.
Anyway, I was going to post up some pictures, but I made a video with the stock system and a video with the pipe on it. I should have a nice "before-and-after" vid clip on here soon. Stay tuned...

Ok, here we go. I uploaded a short video clip using what little video editing skills I have (don't laugh). Here it is:

Sadly it doesn't do justice to the deep, resonating note the new pipe makes. But hopefully it gives you some idea of how much better it looks and sounds...

check your midpipe again...it can be close to it need more room to prevent it from hitting the bottom of the swingarm. when you sit on it, the space gets bigger, but when your suspension unloads, like during hard braking, etc...if it's too close it will make contact with the swinger.

OK, I will double check again. I'm going to try and have my friend help me lift up the back while the front is on a stand. This should allow the rear to unload completely and I can check to make sure there's some clearance there.
Travsstuff: I just ordered frame sliders and an HID kit. Man this modding thing is addictive. I guess I will be busy this weekend...![Wink](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)

the closeness to the swingarm is 100000% ok, i have heard it from EVERYONE that it fits close, and no one has a problem. mine looks exactly the same distance as yours. i love my exhaust its awesome. 2 bros customer service was great with me too. quick and painless.
