Turn Signal Relay

Turn Signal Relay
Hey all
I just installed a Clear Altertnatives tail light on my bike (already have LED's at the front. At the same time I bought their adjustable flasher relay. It seems to work. It slows down the flashers. Only thing is that as soon as I turn the key on I can hear the relay clicking. This doesn't seem right to me. Seems like it's constantly powered. Is this right?
I can't really see any other way to wire this relay? Is there a better relay I could get that would be more like the OEM. The OEM relay was a 2 wire relay. Batt, and load. This relay has an additional wire which is ground.
Any help or I insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info. I started doing some reading last night. I think I'm going to order a different relay. The one I just installed I had to cut the factory harness to do the install. And I find it very annoying to hear a clicking all the time, regardless of whether my signals are on or not.
I found a website www.superbrightleds.com and they sell drop in units that do not make a clicking sound. So might give that a shot.
