Alright guys I bought a 2001 F4i from a guy in vermont (i live in New Hampshire) and when I got my new title from the DMV, it says it is a rebuilt vehicle. Now I was never told by the guy I bought it from that it was totaled and salvaged and legally I can get all my money back but I do love the bike and would like to keep it. Does anyone know what the bike is worth with the rebuilt title? I am hoping to just collect money back from the guy I bought it from. the only thing wrong with it is the CCT, which as anyone reading this I'm sure will know always go bad on the f4's, and minor scratches on the fairings from being dropped at low speeds. if anyone knows about what the bike would be worth with the salvage and rebuilt title, any info would be greatly appreciated (I paid $1900 for it).

 

$1900 isn't bad for it. I've seen some people do much worse.

Are you thinking to keep it? Keep in mind that if it fell over and broke the OEM fairings, that would cost more than the bike is worth to replace with OEM stuff. An insurance company would total it over that. What's this bike's story?

 

the guy I bought it from bought the bike from the original owner in 2006. From what he told me, his wife dropped it once at a stop and he dropped it at low speeds. That is about all he told me about it's history. The bike has less than 18000 miles on it as well.

 

If you really like it, and you think you paid the right amount, that's all that matters.
