Default turn signal mirror help

I already have flush mounts installed but they were there when I got the bike. Can I just splice the new mirror wires into those? Any reason not to? Also, just to double check what are the colors and their meanings?

Do you have a manual? The wiring diagram will be in it. Are the flush mounts that are already on it LED? You can splice right into the main turn wires. On my f4i left is orange and right is blue if I recall, then of course green is the grounds. Id check that teh wires running to the flushes are not extensions off of the stock wiring. Then locate stock wiring, On mine its three wires for each side. Orange, Orange white stripe, Green, and Blue, Blue white stripe and Green. The mirrors you got have 2 wires. Black wire goes to Green on both. On left, Red to solid Orange, On right Red to solid Blue.

Its possible you will need an LED Relay because the voltage is different when supplying power to LED's. Its also possible that there is already one fitted due to the flushes. If you turn them on and they blink fast, or do not blink it at all, or are dim or are not lighting all the way then they need a relay. Hope this helps.

Helps a lot, thanks. I found the wiring diagrams in my Clymer manual but I just wanted to double-check before I screwed something up. I'll go out today and buy some quick connectors then I'll be good to go Thanks again!
The blink-rate is normal on my LED flush mounts but I was actually kind of hoping for hyper-blink on my mirrors. It seems like it would cut through the traffic better and people would notice it more.

I'll post up some pictures when I get this all hooked up.
I just painted my undertail kit too and my license plate bracket should be delivered today. I'm gonna keep the stock brake light and signals, I just don't want the mud flap. I've got a rear tire hugger that should be delivered soon, and lever guards, but I can't get those to stay in place so I don't know what I'll end up doing with those. Thanks again!
