Default Trying to get an idea of how much I should sell my 2004 F4i for

Hey guys,

I've tried looking on other sites such as Kelly's Blue Book and Im just not feeling it, they pump out a number without even knowing the mileage on the bike.

It's a 2004 with about 15k on it completely babied. All stock with only a small blemish on right ferring, which could be fixed by replacing decal. I just had a full service down on it costing me like $800. I'm selling it to my cousin, but I still want to make out on the deal.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

The best way to determine fair market-value, look for similar offerings on your local
Craiglist and E-bay. You don't need to be too specific to the manufacturer, just stay
within the year/milage and similar type of bike.

As always, there will be a range of prices, based on owner-perceived value, condition
and maintenance of an individual bike. If it's a buddy, I tend to "low-ball" the price.
To the general public, I try to hit a mark between, fast sale and profit/value.

Thanks Ern,

Yeah, like it said it's my cousin and the good thing about the deal is he is local and I can ride it whenever he's not. I paid 4k for it in 2009. Would love to get 3k, but not sure if that's realistic or not. I looked on Craigslist and I can't believe how much some people think their bikes are worth. lol

3K is very reasonable if the bike is as you described. I paid 2750 for mine around the same time as you and it had 18k miles, and honestly was pretty beat up and the owner painted the whole rear flat black while leaving the rest of the fairings red/white. I didn't mind though since I just wanted a motorcycle.

you should easily get 4k for it on craigslist. If I could see the bike I could tell you a bit better what it may be worth.

KBB sucks with bike prices. Try NADA instead. NADA usually prices it a bit above what you could realistically get for it.

If what you say is true though, 3k is a steal for that bike.

Thanks guys for your input. I think I'm gonna go ahead and sell it to him for 3k. He's fan and I will be able to ride it when I want.

$3k is fair if it's as stated, mine needed a little tlc and I paid that back in October and it's an 01 which had 15.5k on it.

not sure if its too late but here was my ordeal. I just bought a 2001 f4i, two seat sport version red/black. It had 4000 miles flat on it, It was all stock except it was lowered, new carbon fiber flush mounts, frame sliders, bar sliders and new red/black grips, and a nice as he11 rear tire fender cover. Bike was dropped once in garage while off and not moving, honestly no scratches!!! only one small dent from something falling on top and getting hit on the tank, barely visible however. With the bike I got everything that originally came with it, rear seat leather and rear seat plastic, manual, full tool kit, a disc lock and 4 quarts of oem recommended oil, plus a nice f4i honda hat. I got all of this for $3500, and she wanted $4000. What do you guys think? Ive been meaning to ask this question too

Geez 'RomanBoy' that's actually a great deal. I got mine for 3100. Had 5k miles last july. With a rashed side. Lol. 3k for an older year f4I seems the price here in PHX.
